A resident of Mystic, CT, Anita Price has pursued art since childhood when she took art courses at the Milwaukee Art Museum near her home. Her mentor, John Kirsch also taught her to sketch and paint while she vacationed with her family in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. John Kirsch had a successful gallery in Estes Park, Colorado.

Anita holds a fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin. As an adult she paints in both oil and water color. Since moving to New England 22 years ago her inspiration comes largely from its beautiful antique homes, gardens, plentiful beaches and unique shorelines. Anita loves to travel and paints from locations visited while traveling in the United States and Europe. Her paintings often reflect niche areas tucked away from the mainstream. If she is unable to paint on site she captures her idea creating her preferred composition with her camera. Anita's intention is to transport the viewer to a place of simplicity and tranquility where one can feel the sun, hear the breeze, smell the flowers and relax.

Paintings by Anita can be found in several New England galleries and design studios as well as in summer outdoor art shows. Her work is included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
